Dr. Juergen Rahmel holds a PhD in computer science (Artificial Intelligence, Neural Networks) and an MBA in International Management. He started his career with Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt, Germany, has worked in various IT management positions of different banks. Recent roles include being Head of IT for HSBC Germany, Research Director AI for the HSBC-ASTRI Lab, Chief Digital Officer for HSBC Germany and most recently Head of Innovation for Compliance APAC as well as in the Chief Digital Office for HK within HSBC.
Juergen is a part-time lecturer at the University of Hong Kong on a variety of subjects like Securities Transaction Banking, eFinancial Services and Banking in Web 3.0.
